CORONA  VIRUS SECOND WAVE (COVID-19)

Corona Virus. It is a name, a clause, or a sort of sentence that is over the mouths of everyone in today’s world. This clause consists of only two words “Corona” and “virus” but has almost changed the map of this whole planet Earth. It has also changed the lifestyle of each and every resident of Earth. It has snatched a lot from the people out there. It has caused people to die in the number of thousands and lac. It has made human beings suffer a lot. It has caused deaths, casualties, injuries, and all that. It has made humans cry and be locked in their own houses for months.

This virus started in December of the previous year 2019. It got started in China and then spread all over the world. The whole world is afraid of this virus. Each and every individual is trying that somehow he or she survives through this whole period during which this virus is making its moves. During the time, when there is no vaccine invented to get rid of it as fast as they can. As there is still no proper medication for this virus, it has destroyed a lot and is still destroying.

Just as the whole world got affected by this virus, the same went for Pakistan. In Pakistan, the first Corona case was recorded on 26th February 2020 in Karachi and since that day, the number of Corona infections has been increasing exponentially. The number has already gone to the thousands and hundreds of deaths throughout the country have taken place. The first wave of Coronavirus started with the first case in February and went till August and September. After these two months, we have seen a positive aspect that the more Corona cases were almost stopped coming. That is why this whole time period is called the First Wave of Corona Virus.

Unfortunately, the first wave of Coronavirus was not the last wave as we have seen that recently in November 2020, the cases of Corona infected persons have started going upward. The cases are increasing as they were increasing day by day in the first wave. During this second wave, the number is increasing very fast and has already gone to thousands with a few numbers of deaths too.

By looking at the current figures related to the second wave of Covid-19, the government has taken very important and prompt steps so that there should be a few harmful results as possible. In this regard, the government has taken a few very important steps. They have decided to make people wear masks mandatory and those who don’t wear masks at public places will be charged 100 rupees. There will also be a restriction on every kind of indoor activities in marriage halls. Only a thousand people will be allowed to attend outdoor marriage activities. 50% of government and private employees are advised to work from their homes while the other 50% will work from offices. These obligations are made from November 7th, 2020 till January 31st, 2021.
